Blue moon demands

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but my parents were really mean when I was growing up. As in they were so mean that they denied us sugary cereals and junk food. And if we got a soda, we had to share a can. (See, I told you they were mean.) Over time, it all morphed into a big joke where my sisters and I will make demands on our parents for all the treats we were promised on a blue moon. They’ve yet to deliver the blue moon goods on a blue moon, but I won’t complain too much since they are good at sending me blue moon type goodies even without the blue moon.

  1. So, we’re off the hook for Flintstones Vitamins!? And I wouldn’t have guessed Cap’n Crunch Berries. Maybe Lucky Charms or Sugar Corn Pops…

    1. You never promised us vitamins “once in a blue moon”. You denied those to us full-stop because you insisted we got all of our vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients in the healthy food you fed us. (But Flintstone Vitamins tasted like candy, so that would have been preferred, as a child.)
