After nearly three years, I am finally heading home to America for a holiday. My bags are packed, my tickets are printed, and my excitement levels are high. And, apparently, there is a cold root beer waiting for me on the other side of the customs and immigration barriers. (Along with hugs from my parents.) Yay!
I’ll be away for three weeks and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. There are so many people to see and so much food to eat. And I have to combine it all with some PhD work and my ongoing (though slow) Scottish Half Marathon training.
But I am looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to the heat. I’m looking forward to the food. I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and friends. I’m looking forward meeting my new nephew, Cameron, who will surely come to think of me as his favourite aunt.
Stay tuned for more on my adventures!!
